How do I pack a box?

In constructing and sealing your boxes, please apply tape liberally. You will need at least three strips of tape for both the top and the bottom of the box. Do not use masking tape or string. Please use the heavy-duty packing tape that is included in your supply kit. 

Keep your items safe. 

Most damage that occurs during moves happen because of improperly packed boxes. 

Secure fragile items. 

Wrap fragile items with clothes or blankets and place in the center of your box. Make sure they are snug so they will not shift around. 

Pack evenly. 

Distribute heavier items evenly throughout all of your boxes. Heavier items should be placed at the bottom of a box and lighter items towards the top. 

Close and tape your boxes properly.

Use at least three strips of tape for both the bottom and top of your box when building and sealing it. 

Label.

Be sure to properly label ALL of your items.
